Therapy for Relationships

Feel connected again.

Online & In-person in Reading, PA

Do you feel like you’re doing life alone?

Maybe you didn’t realize how alone you felt until something happened in your life recently. Perhaps you’re a young person experiencing bullying or just finding it hard to fit-in. Maybe you’re an adult who is lacking a support network, struggling in their relationship with their significant other, or wondering if this whole parenting thing ever gets easier. You may be having a difficult time setting boundaries in unhealthy relationships, or just aren’t engaging with anyone out of fear of how you may be treated. Perhaps you believe that you aren’t worthy of being loved and respected.

Whatever it is that you’re experiencing, you’re beginning to notice the impact of this in every facet of your life:

  • You’re reluctant to engage in activities or with people you used to enjoy

  • You’re more irritable at home and with loved ones

  • You’re having trouble focusing in school/work, preoccupied with the relational conflict you’re experiencing

  • You’re starting to feel increasingly more sad and alone

It may feel impossible now, but you can feel connected. You can have healthy relationships. You can feel worthy of love and belonging. And I can help you get there.

Therapy for relationships can help.

HOW I CAN HELP

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am trained to see everyone as a part of their system (family, friends, work, school, etc). Each person in that system impacts and is impacted by other members in the system. It creates a cycle of interactions, and sometimes we get stuck in negative interaction cycles.

In session, I use family systems modalities to help people understand their negative interaction cycles and find ways of interrupting them by changing communication patterns, setting healthy boundaries, and clarifying needs. These changes can lead to being able to better develop strong and supportive relationships. Sometimes, people come to me hurt by loved ones or peers. I provide a space for healing trust and negative beliefs about yourself that have developed.
